Bitte klingeln
while studying sociology in berlin, i spent a lot of time walking around the city.
in class, we often talked about how people, spaces, and institutions shape everyday life. outside the classroom, however, i began to notice the small details that often escape theory: a laundromat window, the bright orange bins along the street, with empty bottles beside them and puzzle pieces scattered nearby. quiet and ordinary, yet carrying a subtle sense of care, they made me stop.
later, i realized that i was not photographing “corners” in a literal sense, but things that quietly exist, rarely take center stage, and follow their own rhythm. a corner can be large or small. seen from above, even a single tree beside a vast lake becomes just one corner of the landscape.
Bitte klingeln (please ring the bell) is a photographic zine in cassette format, featuring photos I shot on my phone while living in Berlin.
inside are three types of 3D-printed stands and a simple guide. the stands let you connect the images in different ways — a tiny house, a small frame, or even a launcher ^^

images are cross-sections of emotions. i wasn’t trying to make sense of berlin, i was simply learning how to get closer to it. 「bitte klingeln」 carries the same spirit: ring first, then wait and see🔔
